What do you feel are the most effective strategies for protesting for civil rights?

"I think that education and getting the message out to the masses is the best way to protest an issue. Violence is more of a negative thing."

"I always find that non-violence works better, because even if you don't succeed in every way that you thought you would, you still look like a good person, and people don't see you as a criminal. People are more willing to listen to what you're protesting when you approach it peacefully."

Demonstrations, non-violent, but also not passive, visuals at the gathering, and written down forms of protest are also effective."
