Coming up ...
What do a life-size game of Mousetrap, a 40-foot tall man with a wooden heart, and lots and lots of fire have in common? You can find them all in Black Rock Desert, Nev., this week for the 20th annual Burning Man festival – and the Daily Bruin will be there to cover it.
From Aug. 29 to Sept. 5, upwards of 40,000 people will gather in the desert to celebrate this iconic counterculture festival’s second decade in existence, and Bruin staff photographer Michael Sun will be on hand to document what it means to live for one week with no boundaries to artistic expression – and where college students fit into the mix.
Check out the Daily Bruin Web site at www.dailybruin.ucla.edu on Sept. 9 for a story and photo essay by Sun.
