Dave Fleming was hired Thursday as an assistant coach of the women’s volleyball team.
He replaces Burt Fuller, who departed after last season to take the head coaching position at Utah State.
Fleming’s duties will include functioning as the defensive coordinator and working with outside hitters, as well as lending assistance in the scouting department.
Serving on the U.S. Women’s Volleyball National Team coaching staff from 1994-96, Fleming worked with teams that won the gold medal at the 1995 World Grand Prix as well as the silver medal at that year’s Pan-American Games.
