Graduate music student Mary Hofman, Professor Walter Ponce (center) and Steven Olsen rehearse a Brahms piano trio for tonight’s “Ponce and Friends” chamber music performance. Along with third-year music student Edwin Kaplan on viola, the quartet is a collaboration between two music students, a professor and an amateur who will perform the piece by Brahms and Mozart’s “Piano Quartet in G Minor.”
