Arielle Turner, a senior at Narbonne High School in Harbor City, reads a novel in her bedroom. Turner and thousands of other high school students nationwide and around the world will be applying for admission to UCLA. The application went online earlier this month, and applicants can start officially filing their application on Nov. 1.
