Dark Meat takes the idea of collaboration all the way, ranging from 13 to 25 members and including a wind section, sitar and glockenspiel, to name a few of the band’s instruments. Dark Meat’s original five‑piece cover band expanded as its vision did, incorporating not only the Southern rock characteristic of the band’s native Athens, Ga., but also elements of jazz and psychedelia.
